Affiliate Marketing Online 101
For those of you who are new I’ll give a brief recap. With this
knowledge you will get a better understanding of how easy it is to get
started making money.
In affiliate marketing online you have basically four different
players. The merchant is the person who has a product to sell. It can
be any type of product but for the Internet, generally digital products
are best because they can be sent over the internet so there are no
delivery fees.
Also since they are digital, storage of your product is not an issue.
There are many advantages to having a digital product over a physical
product.
There is a network, this is like the middle man for the merchant,
they handle all related issues from payments and to promoting the
merchants product.
The marketing agent is the independent business person that chooses a product to promote from the network.
Also of course there is the customer. We all know what role they
play. They are the ones we depend on for our livelihood, the ones we
cater too and strive to please so much they would never consider doing
business with anyone else. Right?
The marketing agent is in business for himself and he is like a
franchisee of a merchant. The agent generally pays no money to promote
the merchants product. The merchant only pays the agent for sales
generated, relieving them of employee costs and taxes.
This is a great business arrangement because anybody, you or I, can
be in business for pennies. We don’t need to invest $100,000 for a
turnkey business. If done correctly you can latch on to an free website
with a product that will make you just as much profit with little or no
upfront investment.
Maybe you have an idea for a product? Perhaps you will expand enough
to build and market your own product? You can realize those kinds of
dreams with affiliate marketing online.
So that’s a quick Affiliate Marketing Online 101 course.

“Like almost everyone who uses e-mail, I receive a ton of spam every
day. Much of it offers to help me get out of debt or get rich quick.”
Bill Gates
It’s important to have a great email subject line, it’s your first
impression, it will make or break your entire email campaign and you
have 20 to 50 characters to make it work.
Creating email subject lines for online marketing is like choosing
what to wear for a night out on the town.
You want something
appropriate, something that makes you interesting and attractive.
You look for something that speaks to who you are and gets the
results you want. You want to appear easy to like and communicate with,
not too flashy or loud.
Gates went on to say. “It would be funny if it weren’t so exciting.”
Of course that’s pretty humorous, and it illustrates a huge error
many email marketers overlook. Having a targeted email list. I just
wanted to cover this, because you could write the most appealing and
enticing email subject line but if you sent the email to someone who has
no interest or use for your product or service then it’s like sending a
bucket of ‘Funky Monkey’ to Ben and Jerry.
Needless to say the body of the email should be congruent with the
message. This is where you help them answer the question posed in the
subject line of your email.
In the subject line you create a problem and in the body you solve
it. In the subject line you will present a benefit, in the body you
provide the feature that creates the benefit.
Here are the top 10 tips to creating a perfect email subject line.
1. The subject must be highly relevant to the targeted interests.
We can go ahead and reiterate this point. Sending get rich schemes to
Bill Gates will get you nowhere, so find out what your list wants and
make your email subject line relevant to that desire.
Examples:
If the niche is weight loss: Burn Belly Fat Instantly
If the niche is Golf: Three Steps to a Better Swing
2. Ask questions to create involvement.
This is a great way to get them started interacting with you. If they
answer the question in their mind you have started a dialog. All you
have to do is keep it going.
Examples:
Buried In Debt? I’ll help you get out
Need More Web Traffic? Follow This System
3. Piggyback Brand Names, popular terms and what the masses are doing.
The old art of name dropping. It’s not tacky if it’s done right, just
keep it relevant. Some great email subjects may be related to reviews,
testimonials, mentioning what’s trendy, what’s in the news. These are
subject people are already interested in and talking about.
Examples:
What Lebron James can teach you about Internet Marketing
How Jennifer Hudson lost 30 lbs.
What Mark Zuckerberg wants you to know about Facebook.
Also, dollar amounts and numbers are attractive too.
Examples:
8 Exercises to Flatten Your Belly
The System That Made $21,372 in ONE month
10 Secrets of a Successful Marriage.
5. Tell them how they will benefit by opening the email. Give them the benefits in the subject line then when you show them the features in the email body restate the benefits again.
Example:
Need Money? Find Work Inside
6. Keep your subject short and to the point. A
well know email marketing management site, MailChimp, compared 40
million emails and deduced that the best subject lines were “pretty
straightforward”, “not very salesy or pushy or slimy.” and even
“boring”. Yet on the worst side the email subject lines “read like
headlines from advertisements you’d see in the Sunday paper.”
Examples:
7. Make the subject line stands out visually, make it appealing.
While not appearing to flashy you can still look appealing. Usage of
brackets or single word caps, special characters is OK if not overdone.
Examples:
Invitation From [YOUR COMPANY]
**ANNOUNCEMENT** 50% Off Today
==>> Open For Your Free Download
8. Use a call to action. If you want someone to do something, the fastest, easiest way to get them to do it is, ask them.
Examples:
Open for your discount code. (the ‘from’ line should clearly tell them who is offering them a discount.)

9. Use the problem/solution formula. This formula
is as rock solid as any marketing principle can be. Market to a need,
solve a problem and you will be successful. The more helpful you are the
more in demand you are.
Examples:
Have Acne? Gone in 5 Days
Computer Running Slow? Boost Speed With This
Need Extra Cash? This system made me $856 in 3 days.
10. Create a sense of urgency. There must be a
realistic need with this. Any expiring offer must be real or you will
hear about it from someone. It doesn’t do much for your credibility if
you don’t stand by your declarations. Examples:
[ALERT] Get 75% off today only!
This requires your [ATTENTION]
We need 5 people today!
So there you have my top ten tips for creating the perfect email
subject line. The secret formula that makes it all work is this: put
yourself in the shoes of the person you are marketing to. See yourself as the prospect, read your email and ask yourself if it is something
that would be interesting.
It’s simple, if you were Bill Gates, would you be looking for a way to get out of debt?
Please like and share this with your friends or anyone that may be able to use the information.
Today I’m going to give you my secret weapon
when it comes to online marketing. This is a service I’ve been using
for over a year now and it has been nothing but successful.
When it comes on marketing online, the oldest saying is “The Money is
in the List”, which means that the biggest profits from online
marketing come from your email list. This has and continues to be true.
Nothing seems to work better than email marketing, but when you are just
starting out, it can be pretty overwhelming, and time consuming, to do,
and it seems impossible to build a large list.
Well this service we’ve been using for the last year makes ALL that
easy. From building a list, to tracking your successes, to finding OTHER
lists to email, it takes care of it all, so that you can maximize your
profits and minimize your time invested.
Watch this video below, which by the way is going to be in our
members section as well, and follow the link below to take advantage of
this great service that has been my secret weapon in affiliate
marketing.
This is a great video showing you what Google thinks are best
practises for a new website to start getting rankings. These are all the
steps ANYONE should take with a new website to help them get noticed
and ranked by Google.
Definitely take notes and apply this to all your websites from now on.
However if you are looking for a way to skyrocket to the top, here’s a
link to a program that has worked for thousands and has years of
exprience in getting your site ranked #1. Before you go out and buy your
first domain, check out this program to help ENSURE you get good
placement with Google. Check it out here.
It’s always refreshing to see new strategies to make money online.
However, the majority of the time I’m pretty disappointed with the
results.
When I was recommended to buy Google Sniper, I thought it would be
another system that just left me disappointed, but the proof and success
stories tipped me to buy it. A quick Google search for testimonials and
by watching the sales video it was clear that this system has worked
wonders for other people, and it’s actually generated the most online success stories than any other system/course to date. It was a no
brainer to give it a shot personally.
At the time in my Internet marketing journey, I was pretty lost as to
what road to head down. Google Sniper really outlays the basics, from
picking a niche, choosing keywords, buying a domain to setting up a
wordpress website which will generate passive income online. It’s an
extensive guide, but it’s easy to pick up (the walkthrough videos by George help also).
I studied the strategy pretty extensively to start with, and created
my first “Sniper” site the next day. I was pretty excited due to the
success stories, but still had that common doubt that it would be
another blowout. I made my first bit of commission two weeks later after
setting up the site completely. It wasn’t a huge amount but it was
something, and that was the trigger to skim through the course once more
to see if I could improve my site in anyway. The site in question
started to generate me a tidy amount of commission, and still
generates
on average $375 a month (on autopilot).
As I’ve been recommended many times before, “if something works
duplicate it…” And that’s what I did. I now have about 10 sniper sites,
all generating commission each month. Each site differs in the amount of
money I’m making, but I can’t squabble as I’m on the hunt for more…
The best thing about this course is alongside earning a nice income
each month from this system on autopilot with no traffic generation,
it’s also an extensive guide into niche research, finding products to
promote and how to set up your own website. Yes, it may need to be read
through a few times, but believe me… It’s worth it. Check out Google Sniper here!
Email marketing starts with a list! A high quality mailing list,
means a more captive audience, higher open and click through rates, and
most importantly there’s more chance the audience will take you up on
your call-to-action.
Of course, it’s not all in the list. Targeted and relevant email
campaigns are a must have for successful email marketing. But that too,
starts with your list. A mindfully created list has the data in it to
help you segment your audience and create targeted and personalized
emails that are relevant to each segments’ interests and preferences.
So how do you build a quality mailing list that has all this useful
data? All you need to do is make sure your collecting the email
addresses of the right audience and the list will build itself.
Your customers are your best audience
Your customers want to hear from you. If they love what you’re
offering in-store or online, chances are they will want to receive
updates from you. In fact, the probability of selling to an existing
customer is 60-70% [Marketing Metrics]. Compare that to a promotion sent to a potential customer, at less than 1% [Kiss Metrics].
So the answer to a quality mailing list is that it should be made up of
your customers – the customers who already buy from you.
3 sure fire ways to grow a mailing list of your actual customers:
1. Online store
If you have an eCommere store you likely already require an email
address from customers, as part of your purchase process. Customers who
buy from you online are tech savy and big users of email, making them
your perfect audience. Plus, you’re collecting it anyway – you might as
well be using it.
Make sure you have an email opt-in checkbox. It’s a good idea to
have this pre-checked. They can opt-out it if they don’t want to hear
from you.
Include a consent statement in your terms and conditions for email
newsletters and marketing. It’s a good idea to check your country’s
legal requirements around this and make sure you adhere to them.
Now that you have their email address, use it. Send them a little
thank you offer for their purchase. 10% off their next purchase might
prompt them to go back online and purchase that pair of shoes that they
were umming-and-ahhing about. Not to mention, a nice little surprise in
one of your first emails is a great way to increase engagement with your
future emails.
And keep using it. Keep your customers engaged and updated with new
stock, promotions, and products they may be interested in. Consistency
is key. Decide how often you are going to email customers, and stick to
it.
Get personal. If you collect their name, use it. The email will feel
much more thoughtful and personal. Use merge tags to insert your
customers’ names into the email body or subject line.
Productivity tip: MailSync
automatically syncs your eCommerce customer database to your
GetResponse mailing list. Meaning, you don’t have to waste time
exporting and importing CSVs. It’s always up-to-date, so you don’t have
to worry about customers missing out on your emails.
2. Newsletter subscription
While they are browsing your website, make sure they can see a
newsletter subscription form. This is a great way to capture the details
of potential customers, who want to hear from you. They may not have
made a purchase yet. But, because they are volunteering their details
they are likely to make for a captive audience.
Convert them to an actual customer early. They like your products,
otherwise they wouldn’t have signed up for your newsletter. Send them a
promotion to help them make their first purchase. Once they’ve bought
from you once, they are more likely to buy from you again [Consumer Insights Group].
Give them what they signed up for. They signed up for your
newsletter. So, make sure you wrap any marketing promotions or product
updates up in the form of a newsletter.
3. In-store
Train your staff to ask every customer if they want to join your
mailing list, while they are making a purchase. Your staff are already
talking to customers over the counter, so they don’t have to go out of
the way to ask for a name and email address. But, make sure they are
properly trained to ask in the right way. Yes there is a wrong way!
These are your customers’ personal details. It’s important to make them
feel comfortable giving them away.
Tell them why you are collecting their details – Let them know that
they will receive email updates on new stock and promotions. 90% of
consumers prefer email updates, over social media announcements [Nielsen Norman Group].
Give them something in exchange – Ask if they want to join your
loyalty program and let them know what rewards they could earn, in
exchange for their email address. If they are getting something out of
it, they are more likely to give away their details.
You’ve got their name, so use it in conversation – “Enjoy the rest
of your day, Chester”. They will feel connected to you on a more
personal level. Now, when your email comes, they are more likely to
remember you, and open it.
Make it fast and easy – People are time-poor
and frustration will ruin their shopping experience. Choose a
point-of-sale that has the capability to add customers to the sale. That
way, you can collect email addresses without holding them up, fumbling
through paper, or switching screens or devices.
Productivity tip: If you’re using your point-of-sale to collect
customer email addresses, MailSync is a useful tool that automatically
syncs the customer data you collect to your GetResponse mailing list.
Meaning, you don’t have to waste time exporting and importing CSVs. It’s
all done for you.
Growing a quality customer database can seem
like a big task, but it doesn’t have to be. Once you have the right
tools set up, you’ll find you can actually automate the process. Using
MailSync and GetResponse is a great place to start. Once you’ve set up
MailSync, you can forget about importing and exporting CSVs, and
instead, you can focus on creating great email campaigns. For more
